Why does she avoid me if she used to seem to like me?
There's this one girl I recently really like. She used to seem to like me but recently she's been avoiding me and I have no idea why. I think my sister asked her on Monday what she'd say if I were to ask her out to homecoming and she said that she would just be going with friends. One time I planned on asking her out but instead of saying "I suppose I could learn to be honest. And I'll start today. Mika... homecoming..." I said "I suppose I could learn a lesson about honesty... I just wish I could. haha." Cue nervous laughter. That was one instance in which I was too scared to ask her out because of my lack of self confidence. Today her friends were pulling her in my direction as I was talking to my friend and she looked like she was trying to walk back in the opposite direction, either because she was trying to go back to the other guy she likes or because her friends were pulling her towards me and she was too shy. Her friends ended up pulling her past me so I think it was probably that she was walking back towards the other guy but her friends were pulling her away from him. I've been asking a lot of Yahoo Answers questions regarding her lately and I've gotten a lot of responses about how she likes me:
However, the past few days, I haven't really talked to her that often. This is either because I'm walking with her for a bit and then she stops to talk to her friend but I keep walking or because she runs off before I can approach her for reasons unknown. Today was my last opportunity to ask her out to homecoming but I couldn't ask her out because she hasn't really been talking to me that much within the past few days and i have no idea why.
Occasionally when I do talk to her, she still acts kinda nervous around me. However, I talked to her once after all this and she was no longer shy. She talked to me perfectly fine. Then she went almost immediately back to avoiding me.
Sometimes when I walk by, her friends will all turn their heads to look at me. And though I've never talked to her friends, they all seem to know who I am. I may just be imagining it, but there is this look on their face that tells me they at least know a little bit about me. If they didn't, they wouldn't be giving me the kinds of looks they are. It's too difficult to describe the looks, though. I also occasionally see her looking in my direction during choir. I don't know why this is.
I think she caught me looking at her once and smiled. My choir teacher was moving me around for my position during the concert next Wednesday and she was looking up in my direction. Most other people were just looking forward. My sister had her friend over and I was asking her friend if she did FM gymnastics. My sister replied telling me that, even though her friend doesn't do FM gymnastics, she knows this girl. I told her I'd been considering giving up and she seemed to mock me with "aww."
She seems to have a much easier time talking to other guys and I have no idea what's going on. I am horrified of losing this girl.

ok first things first. I totally understand how you feel. I was like you little more than a year ago.
The point is this: it doesn't matter how many people on yahoo answers tells you that she likes you. They don't know her the way you know her. I've asked a question half a year ago about thsi girl I worked with and asked to prom. she asked me out after. EVERYONE who answered said she liked me. turns out? she liked me out of necessity because we were co workers...and she had a boyfriend.
yahoo answers lets us take the general idea to the public so we can see the general feedback but it is no way for sure definite. It reassures us but not much more than that!
From your stories, I'd have to say it's time to close the book with her. It's not going anywhere tbh, and if she's avoiding you, that's a big sign she isn't interested, added on top that your sister already gave you intel on what she would say if you ask her to homecoming...I mean, ask her if you want, i asked nine girls to my prom and I don't regret a single one but don't get your hopes up!
Hell I could be wrong, i sure hope i am but this is just my expereience!
good luck brother
