Is the all living things guinea pig starter kit a decent cage?

Is it a decent cage? Should I buy it? I Don't want to spend too much money. Also is it too small for two guinea pigs? Or is two ok for that cage?

No, it's not at all suitable for guinea pigs. The absolute minimum cage size for one guinea pig or two females is 7.5sq ft, that cage is 3.8sq ft, pretty much half the smallest size it should be. The absolute minimum for two males is 10.5sq ft. Bigger than that is better.

Look into C&C cages if you absolutely must get some guinea pigs, I'd recommend against it if buying the cage itself is too expensive for you right now.

If you don't want to spend much money then buy a plant or something. Pets are expensive and will cost you plenty of money over their lifetime. Don't buy an animal if you don't want to pay for it. Even once you've paid the one time costs of cage you still need to regularly pay for all their hay, pellets and fresh vegetables along with potential vet bills which can get really expensive.

It might be best to wait until you're in a better position before getting any. It's unfair to buy a pet knowing that you can't and/or won't look after it properly.

No. Guinea pigs need a lot of room. They also poop and pee a lot, so if she got a small cage she would have to clean it a LOT more, and it wouldn't be hygienic. Look for at LEAST 4 1/2 square feet, and that's the absolute bare minimum. If she isn't willing to invest the trouble and money into getting proper housing, she shouldn't have gotten a guinea pig.

Too small and overpriced for the size. Go with a c&c cage. If you make it yourself they are generally $40-50.

Start kits also come with crappy food. KMS (online only), Oxbow, Sweet Meadow, American Pet Diner and Kaytee Timothy Complete are some good pellets.
