If a snowball melts so that its surface area decreases at a rate of 8 cm2/min, find the rate at which the diameter decreases when the diameter is 9 cm

    SA = 4πr²

    SA = π(2r)²

    SA = πs² --- {Where s is diameter, s = 2r}

    dSA/dt = 2πs ds/dt

    -8 = 2π(9) ds/dt

    -4/9π = ds/dt

    The snowball's diameter decreases as 4/9π cm/min
