Am I a good qualification for Vet School?
Hello everyone, and first and foremost, I thank you graciously for taking the time to read through my question!
I am 19 years old and currently a sophomore in College. In high school, I sid amazing. My GPA was around 3.8 and I graduated in the honor society's of NTHS and NHS, and Magma *** Lade. In college, I made the deans list once so far and I have a GPA of 3.6 and I am also in the Phi Theta Kappa.
I haven't been doing the greatest on my Chemistry tests, but I am hoping that due to labs and attendance I will pass by with a C.
I have been volunteering at Veterinary Clincs and have been searching up animal related material.
What should I do to make me a top candidate? I am debating on taking the "recommended yet not required" classes to boost up my chances, and hopefully getting a Receptionist position at a local Vet Clinic.
I wanted this ever since I knew the term, and I know my dreams is true to myself because it terrifies me; if your dreams do not scare you they aren't big enough!

My younger daughter is at vet school. She says that the internships she did at the age of 19 and 20 were critical and that the interview really focused on them. Apparently vet schools are inundated with applications from people wanting to work with small animals (pets) and want applicants interested in larger animals, zoo animals and lab animals. The more of that you can do now the better.
She worked a serious job for two years with animals between undergrad and vet school. That seems fairly standard.
