how much savings will affect my disability living allowance and carers allowance?
ok so I'm wanting to know how much savings will affect the amount of disability money I recieve
I can't remember but I'm pretty sure I get the higher rate for both opponents
I was told a while ago if I had savings over so much I'd have to contribute some or all for my carers allowance
so does anybody know how much savings u have to have until u have to contribute towards paying for things?

You seem confused about what benefits you are getting.
DLA is not affected by any savings/capital.
Carer's Allowance is provided for the person providing the care. This is not affected by savings only income. Are you sure you are receiving Carer's Allowance?
Income Support, income based ESA, housing benefit and council tax support are all affected by savings/capital. Under £6000 they are not affected. Between £6000 and £16000 a £1 is deducted per week for every £250 over the £6000. Any savings over £16000 and you are not entitled to any means tested benefits.

Your choice of best answer is WRONG,
DLA is payable regardless of income or savings working or not working upto the threshold.
The threshold for DLA is £40,000 of combined savings / income.
There is no threshold for motability.
