How much should I spend on my nieces/nephews?
I have 2 nieces and 2 nephews from my half sister, I always buy them all for birthdays and Christmas, my sister doesn't buy anything for me although she buys her brother/sister from her mothers side who are the same age as me, I know it's not a competition and I'd never bot buy for the kids, I don't buy my sister birthday/Christmas gifts as I buy the kids but I still buy her a card and wish her happy birthday even though she doesn't for me.
I am a disabled young woman therefore I can't go to work so if I was to give each child 10.00 for birthday/Christmas that would be 80.00 a year which I can't really afford so if I was to give them 5.00 that would be 40,06 but is 5.00 for each birthday/Christmas enough?

1 AnswerToddler & Preschooler6 years agowhat toy/s to buy brother for his 2nd birthday?
my little brothers birthday is fast approaching and he will be 2!!
there's such a big age gap between us (he's coming up 2 and I'm 19) I don't have children of my own and doubt I will as I'm disabled so I treat him like my child
back to the point.... I spend around £50 on him but know for a fact he will get more....
he doesn't really like that much.... peppa pig, winnie the pooh, toy cars but he has loads of stuff with those characters and hundreds of cars!
he has a kitchen, lego blocks, books, toy food, balls, ball poppers, trampoline, ride ons, slide, sit in electronic car so I'm pretty much stuck!
I'd rather spend the money on a couple of gifts than just one
can anyone give me some good ideas please, links would be great (UK websites only)
thanks
1 AnswerToddler & Preschooler6 years agomy sister never buys me anything?
ok so my sister is older than me lives on her own with fiancé and has 4 kids (2 boys aged 5 and 7 also twin girls who are 10 months) so I buy birthday and christmas gifts for the kids, I don't buy for her or her fiancé as I buy for 4 kids
I buy my sister and her fiancé cards for their birthday, I don't even receive a card for my birthday
me and my sister have the same dad but not the same mum, my sister has 3 other siblings who she buys gifts for (they don't share the same dad as my sister)
she used to buy for me but hasn't for at least 5 years now although she still buys for her other siblings
my dad has said he thinks this is shocking and told me to stop buying for her a few years ago so that's what I did but it's not the kids fault so I can't not buy for them I don't buy them rubbish either all their birthday gifts cost me around £50 and same for christmas gifts (I also buy them easter gifts)
does anyone else think it's weird how she doesn't buy me but buys her other siblings and her fiancés siblings? also how would u feel if this was u? what would u do?
