Religion & Spirituality folks: Does anyone else have a constant "radio" playing music in their head 24 hours daily?

I am not a "nutcase". I have degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Education. I have always been a lover of all styles of music. I have always got a song playing in my mind. When I taught school I was always singing or whistling when I was not teaching. I sang or whistled on the way to and from my job(s) also. Is it normal for a person to constantly have such "music constantly playing" in one's mind? I guess this may seem a bad place for this question but I respect many in this forum and appreciate whatever each one of you has to say on this topic. Have a great week! Thank You,

Update:

To Everyone,

I have always whistled (and sang0 through the stores that I walk through. Many of the customers will begin singing or whistling with me. Some have approached me and told me the song would be "with them the rest of the day". My wife can always locate me in such stores when she is ready to leave. Thanks to everyone who answered. I guess the Lord will answer this question for me when we meet. Have a great day!

Yours,

Most of the time church songs pop up in my mind. I don't l listen to the radio except for acappella church music. I often find myself praying with a tune that just comes in my mind and I can spend a long time praying like that.

Oh yes. Sometimes it's a song in rhythm with my walking. And sometimes I have no idea where it came from, because it's an obscure song I haven't thought about in years. I think some of those are planted unconsciously by store soundtracks, which I think I'm ignoring but part of my brain is listening.

Yes, I do. Well, "normal" nowadays means substantially less than healthy functioning, both mentally and physically. In our society, it's normal to be unhealthy. And having music playing in your head all the time is one possible symptom of less-than-healthy mental health. Music is extremely important to me, and I guess that's why I have that particular symptom. If it wasn't that, it would be something else.

    not constantly but frequently

out of nowhere, a song will begin playing in my mind and it stays there for some time

who's in there punching the buttons on the jukebox, I have no clue

this is an actual song lyric:

In the corner of my mind stands a jukebox

It's playin' all my favorite mem-o-ries

One by one, they take me back

To the days when you were mine

And I can't stop this jukebox in my mind.

    Song by song, those melodies

Were meant to ease the pain

But the kind that's playin' on my mind

    Are drivin' me insane

I am going to give you advice, which I hope you will follow. Don't whistle publicly. I can't stand whistling, humming or singing, unless it is on the radio. And there are others like me too. Gum chewing is awful too. Just keep your sounds to yourself.

Not 24/7, but most of the time, especially when I'm asleep.

    Pretty much.

Every morning I wake up and there is a song in my head, I just start singing it. Not so much if I'm watching TV.

Not for 24 hours, but only in the morning when I wake up after having taken a drug the night before.

I cant stop this feeling deep inside of me ...

Look up some old Aly McBeal reruns. I didn't realize this happened to more than me until I saw that show.

Yes I hear the Holy Spirit singing songs to me in my mind.

He wants me to sing them too. I am so blessed by the many song He will bring to me. Worship songs and Praise songs too

Glory be to God He even says in the bible that God will sing songs of Deliverance over us to set us free from those things that try to harass us.

    (((EDS))) blessings to you friend
