Can a cold and fever during 2 week wait harm your chances of becoming pregnant?

I had an IUI done this month and at 6dpiui I started with a sore throat and chest pressure. Later that evening I got a fever of 101. Woke up early morning 7dpiui with a fever of 102.2 and still experiencing cold symptoms. I still today at 11dpiui am experiencing runny nose, cough, and chest pressure. Dr won't prescribe meds since I had the IUI done this month. Could being sick like this harm my chances of conception?

Illness can potentially delay ovulation or cause you to not ovulate (depending on how sensitive your body is to physical stress), but if your IUI was 11 days ago then you already ovulated so that's not a worry. I sincerely doubt a cold would have any impact on implantation. If you got *really* sick then maybe, but a cold? Nah.

I wish you luck! My son is an IUI baby, 16 months of adorable, busy toddler now. =)
