Why is the topic of God so interesting in terms of enable discussions?

Have you ever watched one of those animation movies where the Villain mass produces evil clone robots to wipeout the good people and establish their evil kingdom? That is how religious folk view Atheists. Atheist literally try to convert people on an everyday basis or De-Convert. Religious folk don't want people drifting away into this hypnotizing whirlpool so they defend God with all that they can muster up in a matter of minutes. Ridiculous analogy I know. I just like it.

Because it touches close to home for all people whether they believe in God or not. Much like politics, religion is a very diverse and fragile subject matter to discuss, it gets the blood racing and everyone believes that they are correct and others are wrong.

Because our own origins as a species is a fascinating topic.

The fact some adults believe in imaginary sky critters is interesting to me.
