Tkr 3 weeks ago. Woman age77. How long before pain eases enough to let me sleep more than 2 hours at a time?

Total Knee replacement !! I have had one and am having the other one done next month.

You have joined ' The up at night club' there are several internet sites on this with ladies telling us what they do in the night. It can take months, it did for me as every time we move the pain wakes us up. You have to give in to it and realise it's normal. I read, or made a cup of tea, took 2 paracetamols and tried again. Once the swelling goes down sleep is easier. I slept on my side with a flat pillow between my knees, that helped.

be patient, it will improve. My dear husband was mowing the grass 2 weeks after his OP, it took me months to walk without a stick.
