I'm not against any religion as long as they understand which views are okay, which are harmful, how they're harmful and as long as they don't hurt anyone.

They'd have to support Lgbt+ and feminism, and they will. Anyone that isn't cluelessly or willfully ignorant understands my stance on these because their basis are facts.

If they are devoted, ignorant Christians like most of them, I might would disown them. I know that seems harsh, but I'm a queer, trans man so they're either with me or against me.

Actually, I had my daughter study world religions. Being a Christian, isn't the only religion and it helped her understand the common thread. Enlightenment, being a good person, and finding the true path to follow. As long as she respects my beliefs, and doesn't interfere with what I teach her younger siblings, she is safe from my wrath. Currently I believe, she is a Buddist.

My father was religious but taught me loads of things other than religion (and including religion) and made me a better person. I have two sons who are not religious, but live good and truthful lives. That can be as acceptable to me, even if they do not follow a religion, as having studied quite a lot on different religions, and they all have their plusses and minuses. They are entitled to their opinions and beliefs, the same as myself.

I wouldn't know, since I already disowned all of my children for using a browser other than Chrome.

I'd want to talk to him about why -- he's a sensible kid, so maybe he finally HAS stumbled across the evidence Christians have been hemming and hawing over for the last two thousand years...

I would say that although I disagree, I want them to find their own path in life. I would have no issue with my child having religious beliefs different than mine as long as he/she used those beliefs to encourage love instead of discrimination.
