I remember the Savings & Loan scandal of the 80s. My sister worked for a Savings & Loan that told it's employees that depositor's savings were used to fund mortgages and loans in the community. Nothing but a big fat lie that was. They went under and my sister lost her job.
I remember hearing that Neil Bush was part of it.
Do you remember the Keating 5, 4 of which were Democrat Senators?

That is why the areas effected by the Savings and Loan crisis did better than the areas where they hadn't learned the hard way.
