Reloaders what's your favorite way to trim cases?
One of the chores I hate is cases trimming. So I went in search of a better way to do it. I found a tool called the world's best trimmer made by a Company called Little Crow Gunworks. It chucks in a drill and uses the case shoulder to index the case. It's at least 3 times as fast as a regular trimmer. I bought the gen 2 model which has interchangeable inserts for different calibers. I love any tool that makes a job go faster and this is a great one. Fellow reloaders check it out! http://www.lit/
Guys, I'm not trying to drum up business for anyone's company.I'm just passing along something I found that is so much easier than my Lyman trimmer. Especially since I had 500 .308 cases and over 2000 5.56 cases to trim.
No Tex I don't shoot service rifle. I have thousands of rounds of 5.56 so I have put off reloading any. But now I have a 5 gallon bucket full so it's time to get er done. Just swaging out the primer pockets will probably take me a few days lol. My son came out today and decapped a 1000 so that helps a bit.

I have a Forester that I have used for many years but also have one Little Crow for the caliber I use most often. They work great but are too expensive for me to have one for every caliber. I also have a Lyman set-up for using a drill press but it is way more trouble that it's worth and I never use it.
Edit: Damn that's a lot of cases. Do you shoot Service Rifle? The only time I have loaded that many cases was when I was shooting Bullseys Pistol.

Andy mentioned a great tool and someday I'll have to buy one. For now I just the Lee Case length gauge and trimmer and drill.

I use the little Forester hand crank lathe. You can also " chuck up " other tools in the arbor. Even check for "run out" with a dial gauge. Handy little thing, I mounted mine on a larger piece of wood for stability. Use it all the time. You could even do primer pocket uniforming. The thing I have is all metal, aluminum frame, carbide cutting tools.
Motorized, just be careful.....DON'T mess up my annealing. ya know.
I understand, and thank you for a cool product you found, we should get more into this kind of stuff among the folks here. Knowledge and a better way to do things is great for this section.
