Christians, If Jehovah's Witnesses could convince you that the Trinity is not true and Jesus is not God, would you become a JW?

or would you still remain a member of the church you currently attend? Why?

Update:

I did not intend to start a debate about the Trinity. I was wondering how many people would become Jehovah Witnesses even the JWs convinced them that Jesus is not God. It's a very severe religion. I honestly don't think most people would be willing to live that kind of life. Am I right or wrong?

First, they could never convince me that the Trinity is a false doctrine. I love the Trinity. But even if they could, I would never join their organization, which is secretive, unorthodox, and harmful.

I would never knock on doors, stop celebrating Christmas and other holidays, or shun people who have left the group or been disfellowshipped. I would not want to be a part of any organization that splits up families like that.

Also, what I look for in choosing a church is the missions that church or denomination participates in. It's important to choose the missions you want to support. As far as I can see the JW missions are strictly leading people away from Christ and to the men in the Watchtower.

Even if they convinced me to not believe Jesus was God, I would continue attending a Trinitarian Christian Church. I often wonder if some people they confuse just become atheists or turn to a different religion such as Buddhism or gnosticism.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe what God's word the Bible teaches.

They show you in your own copy of your Bible the Scriptures those

    Scriptures.

Jesus said God's Word is truth at John 17:17.

He also said, that God is looking for those who want to worship Him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23,24)

If God says Jesus is His Son (Matthew 3:17)

If Jesus Christ throughout the Gospels says he is God's Son

    (Matthew 27:43)

If Jesus disciples said Jesus was the Son of God. (Matthew 16:

    13-16)

If Jesus Christ said he has a God (John 20:17)

    Then somebody's lying!!!!!

God cannot lie. No deceit was found in Jesus. Jesus commended his disciples for being that he was God's Son.

So someone ........many........need to check the Bible , and to also do outside secular research of just where that trinity doctrine got started. It involves the Pagan Roman Emperor Constantine who became an apostate Christian and introduced much falsehood into Christianity. Do your research people!

The trinity teaching matters to Almighty God and to His beloved Son, the firstborn of all creation (Colossians 1:15).

I thinktht most Christians who could be convinced that Jesus is not God would become atheists rther than Jehovah Witnesses. the foundational belief of Christians is that jesus is God and the 2nd person in the Trinity of one God. To deny the truth of the Trinity is to become a non-believer in the God revealed by Jesus, His Church and the Bible. God bless!

It's the Bible that convinced millions to reject the pagan trinity doctrine, not any religion. The trinity is not found in any Bible.

The fact that Jehovah God is only one true God is found in any Bible.

Jehovah's Witnesses just prove from the Bible that the trinity, hellfire and immortal soul doctrines are doctrines of men, not of God.

The Bible when studied intensely convinces a person how Satan has misled so many by means of such lies and the trinity tops his list.

The Bible will indeed convince all those searching for the truth, that Jehovah is the one true God and Jesus is his Son and our King and that the trinity is a man made invention that dishonors God and Christ.

First off after spending 2 decades as a witness and about 10 years after as a born again christian I am now atheist and there is nothing that could convince me that there is a god at all. That would be like believing in santa clause. Witnesses may be right about the trinity but they have huge issues with molestation and cult behavior. Arguing religion is like debating the truths of Star Trek vs Star Wars. Plain stupidity

I am a born again Christian, my Lord and Savior is Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit Himself gives me assurance. They couldn't convince me that there is no Trinity. I can show them from the Bible that there is. So no, been there, done that, raised in the religion, would never go back to that anti-Christian religion and deny my Lord Jesus - even if it meant my own life. I am saved by the grace of God. My works get me nothing. The works of the JWs get them nothing and they don't have Christ.

    No, for these reasons:

    - there are other doctrines concerning which they are mistaken

    - they "require" or "urge" that their members preach those doctrines and not publicly disagree with those doctrines, even a member who recognizes one or more of those doctrines as faulty

So: **if** a Witness could by some amazing feat of charisma or hypnosis convince me despite all logic that the doctrine of trinity is not true, I would join *some* sect that does not teach the trinity - but it would not be the Jehovah's Witnesses. They would also have to persuade me that several other of their doctrines that I recognize to be erroneous or unjustifiable are true before I joined them.

Note that the "severity" is not an issue with me. The doctrines they teach are the only issue.

You can't, because that would mean to only take some words, out of the bible. And the bible says that kind of people go to hell. Well you don't believe in hell, I guess you'll believe it when you see it. Because bible tells us many passages of the lake of fire. Will you live to the day off heaven on earth? Probably not, so what is your point in believing if you can't get to heaven anyway... Jesus Christ didn't die for your sins (you say) you have no hope, no reason, no foundation. Only a maybe

That's the same thing that brought me to Islam; Islam doesn't believe in the concept of Trinity and Jesus being God. May Allah forgive us and guide us all.

When I was a christian, and I still am in the sense that I still believe in Jesus(peace be upon him) so dearly, I always thought of God as God and Jesus as His servant and messenger. Though we referred to him as the anointed, the Christ. And guess what? In the Qur'an alhamdulilah, he still maintains that honorable title, however a title as him being God is a big Trouble.

According to the Qur'an, there are some of the Christians who are already on the right path. I personally am convinced that those Christians who are on the right path are those who follow the true belief of God being God and Jesus being His servant and messenger.

JWs can't convince me that God is not triune. And, no, I would not join their fellowship because there is much spiritual error.

I was part of a fellowship that was "severe" and thrived there for many years, so that would not prevent me from being part of the JWs if God led me to be. But He doesn't lead me to be with the JWs.
