What kind of job could I get like this?

Question

I want a job that can be done entirely, or at least mostly, from home, and pays enough to live on. It doesn't have to pay a lot, just enough to live on. What's really important to me is just that I can be alone when I do whatever it is. What jobs could I get like this?

To work at home you would need to be self-employed & freelance. Some thing perhaps along the lines of (suggestion) book-keeping/accountancy. You would need to get a recognised qualification and build up a network of clients in order to bring in a decent wage.

Don't confuse work at home jobs with based at home jobs. Many jobs are based at home but these still require staff to liaise with and attend regional and or national offices, visit customers etc.

By now it should be common knowledge your dream job is a fairytale.  Somehow you didn't get the bulletin that nobody pays anyone to stay at home, doing something, without supervision.
If you don't believe me, ask everyone you know why they go to work every day and haven't aquired a online home job.  You know why? Because there are none!

If there are skills you can offer through freelancing sites like oDesk, Freelancer, Elance, and the like, you can work at home.
