I helping my niece on her homework on ratios. They shows 8 paper clips, 4 erasers, and 6 pens. We already found the ratios but they are asking something else. I know how to explain to her:

The number of paper clips to erasers is 2:1. Therefore, the number of paper clips is two times the number of erasers.
The number of erasers in 1/5 times the number of paper clips.
The number of Erasers is 2/3 the number of pens.
The number of pens is 1 and 2/3 the number of erasers.
