Christians, Do YOU believe the BIBLE to be God's Inspired Word?

I personally believe 2 Timothy 3:16-17 to be true. I also believe that God gave Moses the Ten Commandments not the ten suggestions. There are several members here who claim to be Christians that say many things contrary to God's Word. That bothers me a great deal. Have a great week.

Thanks,

Eds

Yes, I believe in the verbal, complete, infallible, unlimited inerrancy of the Old and New Testaments in the ORIGINAL AUTOGRAPHS. The scripture is the final absolute authority for the Christian faith and church order, and infallible with regard to moral, spiritual, historical, and scientific facts. Each man will be held responsible for the truth contained therein (Matt. 5:17-18; Jn. 10:34-35; 16:12; II Tim. 3:16, 17; I Jn. 1:1-4; II Peter 1:21; 3:15-16).

I wasn't sure whether I wanted to answer this with all the bantering back and forth but I did. Have a great week Eds.

The Ten Commandments are part of the OT, but when we atheists point out to true believers that the OT also commands us to stone a neighbor to death for picking up sticks on the Sabbath, suddenly the story changes to: "No, that's the OT, god made a new covenant!" So which is it? You can't have it both ways!

And, I vote NO, it's not any one's "inspired word" except that of some ignorant, illiterate bronze age goat herders (whose stories were written down by a few scribes) who didn't even know that the Earth wasn't shaped like a flat round pizza.

Here's what "God's word" says the universe looks like (you're a Satan worshiper if you don't believe it?):

Maybe some of your coreligionists are bright enough to realize that the bible isn't infallible.

I think overall it is. I also see parts which are of human opinion (you Christians stop looking at me funny), and that is all over the Bible with what particular people said and thought were not necessarily inspired. But God is in the Bible too, and he was right in all he said.

As for that bastard James and his Epistle. He wasn't an Apostle, and he wasn't preaching the Gospel. he was preaching a mix of Jesus and the Law. He doesn't belong in there.

Ten Commandments, you say? Do you mean the commandments in Exodus 20, which were only spoken and were never called "The Ten Commandments" by the bible? Or do you mean the REAL Ten Commandments in Exodus 34, which were etched in stone and explicitly called The Ten Commandments in Verse 28?

When was the last time you celebrated the Festival of Weeks, O devout and humble servant of God Almighty?

Yes ((Eds)) I do believe that the Holy Spirit gave the word of God to those Godly men who instructed to write it down so we and all the rest of the world could/would know the truth of what God did in the beginning for the bible is our handbook for walking as Jesus did.

I believe that when Jesus came to earth He fulfilled the ten commandments. God gave the ten commandments to His people to show them that without a Messiah they would never get rid of their sins.

Jesus said He did not come to do away with the Laws but to fulfill them.

Jesus is the Living word of God. He is our creator and Savior come down from heaven in human form to die for us on the cross of Calvary so we would not go to hell when we die.

yes I do believe the Bible to be God's Inspired word because God says so. In 2 Peter 1:20-21 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus was teaching and the Jews were amazed and ask "How did this man get such learning without having studied?"

John 7:16-18 Jesus answered, "My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me. If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who set him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

I Corinthians 2:6-9 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among he mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for out glory before time begin. None of the rulers ;of this age understood it, for if they had they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. "however, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM"---

I don't. Bible is a collection of 66 heterogeneous books written by different authors over thousands of years. It doesn't contain any word of God. Jesus is God's spokesperson. His teaching is recorded in 4 books of the Bible - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

    yes its god's inspired word

the ten commandments were directed at israel

    2 Kings 17:13 CEB

The LORD warned Israel and Judah through all the prophets and seers, telling them, Turn from your evil ways. Keep my commandments and my regulations in agreement with the entire Instruction that I commanded your ancestors and sent through my servants the prophets.

The Bible is God's Word, but NOT the words of God. "Word" is a poor translation of "logos." The Bible is the logos of God - we say word, because God "speaks" things into being.

The bible is as accurate as the Koran - it isn't!

Xtians mistranslated the TaNaKh, added hell and evil beings. Muslims mistranslated the bible, added more evil beings.

Judaism teaches good and evil mythology is the fall of mankind. Xtians replaced a nation with a mangod whose name honors sus. Xtianity has no idea what Judaism teaches.
