Speaking of bears..... http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/outposts/post/eva-shockey-responds-critics-bear-hunt/ And no, she did no use a 9mm?

Eva Shockey knew she was placing herself in the crosshairs of anti-hunters before she posted a photo of herself posing with a 510-pound bear she killed last week to her Facebook page.

The famous co-host of “Jim Shockey’s Hunting Adventures” told Field and Stream:

“My dad warned me before I even got involved with the show that I was going to have to deal with anti-hunters. I’m a huge target for them because I’m a smiley young woman, and I’m different than who they’re used to dealing with.”

But Shockey, 26, had no idea the flood of venomous comments would be so extensive, or that the story of her hunt and its aftermath would gain national attention in the mainstream news.

Why do people cave in to the animal rights activists? In New Jersey, a Rutgers University student was recently mauled to death by a black bear while hiking.

Instead of worrying about the cute and cuddly harmless little bear in this picture, remember that the Nazis used the same Eugenics philosophy promoted by PETA and morally-defective members such as Prof. Peter Singer, to justify the Holocaust. They even adopted the moral justification from American Eugenics societies, the predecessors of PETA.

All I have to say to Eva is nice shot, Happy Hunting!

Hey, while everybody has the right to do whatever they want within the laws, I certainly don't think there is any benefit to hunting like this. In many cases, population is too large, so go for it, but when it is only for sport it isn't fair to anyone.

Yeah, maybe she gets a rush hunting, but what about the animal that needs to be shot for her to have a small amount of enjoyment in comparison? Being shot isn't any picknick after all...

Angus, who cares if they love bears, that doesn't change the fact that the bear has to go down, in a way that would get a human murder charges because it is so cruel, in cold blood. It has nothing to do with whether anyone loves the bear or not. They certainly don't care about it in any real way, if they inflict unecessary suffering on it. Duh.

King, Hey, 'cause being sprayed full of bullets and choking on your own blood before you slowly die is the same as a captive bolt pistol to the head...which is fast and painless. Totally the same.. wait no, it isn't. Your bad.

It's a beautiful world, the sun still rises everyday and the trees are colorful, the oceans so beautiful, the safari so majestic and humans so destructive that instead of preserving the beauty of nature we are just destroying it, it's one thing if a lion mauls a zebra, that's just the food cycle but we are too smart to be killing animals for sport, we can go above and beyond that but instead our selfish needs still pushes us to go kill animals for sport, meat or whatever, meat isn't even good for humans, well at least in the long run, the preservatives in the meat bought from stores cause premature aging and meat is so rich in calories that it boosts your blood levels above average which is a big factor to high blood pressure, killing animals just kills us sooner so in a way it's karma really... The bear was probably just out in the woods taking a sh*t when this savage woman shot it, I wished the bear mauled her really, us humans are selfish and see ourselves dominate just because we are the most intelligent, well we may be dominate but do we really need to be un-compassionate and kill defenseless animals with no remorse.

    What is your question?

If it's opinions on hunting...provided she's going to eat that bear meat, and use the fur and everything useable, I never have a problem with people hunting for that reason, provided they follow the laws and don't shoot babies or mothers leaving babies to starve.

If she's a trophy hunter, she deserves all those venomous comments because she's taking FOOD off the plates of those who need it and senselessly murdering animals that would not have died otherwise just for a photo and a pelt/furry statue on her wall/floor. People like that make me sick.

If you have to kill to defend yourself or to eat, that's a whole other matter, but killing for fun is a disgusting act that should be made fully illegal.

We talking about a woman's ability to hunt? Obvious. o-o; We've got hands, fingers, eyes and brains same as most men, who I am pretty sure don't use that nub between their legs to pull the trigger. =/

I am not understanding what your question is. Pointing out opinions, or maybe just showing off some girls hunt photo, asking about her gun, which we cannot see to tell you?

I don't like sport hunting....Trophy hunters are lowlifes as far as I'm concerned. But if she eats the bear, and makes good use of the pelt...I have no problem with it. I only hunt when I need meat, not just because I want it, or think it's cool, or to prove how manly I am....I don't feel the need to be any manlier, I'm scary enough without having to drag my knuckles and beat my chest... I believe you should only take what you need from nature.

Who cares? It was bear season. The girl shot a bear. Anti-hunters freaked out. Pro-hunters jumped to her defense. Average people didn't register an opinion. The World kept turning.

I've seen her on the show. She seems like a pleasant kid. If she was my Daughter, I would be proud of her.

If she mails me 10 pounds of bear jerky, I will friend her on Facebook.

What are the benefits to hunting and killing animals when you can buy all the food you need from a grocer? Or farmers market? Or start a home garden. Humans are exterminating the worlds wild life and their environments at an alarming rate and I fear you will not know what you've lost till it is all gone.

Source(s): Stuff like this are reasons why I hardly care when I hear some hunter was mauled by a bear. Karma.
  • she mistook the bear for Vladimir Putin, it's an understandable mistake.

"Putin says United States will never 'subdue' Russia"

i don't know why she is not miss north carolina...nevermind i forgot, she actually has brains and beauty and a real talent...they only allow pacifist bleeding hearts.

never mind the bear, eva is a keeper, i'd bag her and tag her (ring and all) one helluva woman, one in 310 million!

if you're a PETA monger, you're on the losing side, you don't believe in guns and put animals on a higher pedstal than yourself, pray she doesn't go apply for a badge, even this bear didn't stand a chance when she went gunning in her hunt, with a badge she would have the right to hunt you down and you all saw what happened to micheal brown!

Eva is intelligent, beautiful and a good shot.

    What's not to like.

BTW - The bear is exceptional as well.
