how do people know their holy book is right?

I discovered that the scripture that makes up the clean and unclean food and hygiene laws established over 3500 years ago in the Book of Leviticus have been based all this time on someone's working knowledge of the germ theory of disease and the modern human body. They can be found in more than one Holy Book. They are The Torah, The Bible and The Dead Sea Scrolls and more loosely in The Qur'an. The only thing they all have in common is that they originated from the scientific mind of the same Intelligent Designer named the God Yahweh. No other religions Holy Books contain such advanced scientific knowledge in their scripture.

If one accepts that any "holy" book was written by humans, one has to take into consideration and accept that humans err. Holy books meet many needs. Some are codices for human behavior when people needed guidance. This guidance changed over the millenniums, But the overall message for a believer is still there.

it's 66 separate books by 40 authors which the bible is composed of, but even if it was one continuous book it wouldn't matter if it was circular logic.

the evidence for the miracles is fine for those whom God has chosen but the fulfilled prophecies can't be denied except through blatant stubbornness.

the books are consistent which shows divine authorship.

the words convict the heart which unbelievers find repulsive.

archaeology confirms places, times, and events, and archaeology has never refuted places, times, and events.

ancient manuscript evidence proves the words were never changed from the beginning.

What caused me to believe was actually a different book. I started believing Jesus was God after reading "The Case for Christ," in which a journalist tried to prove to his wife that the Jesus miracle could not have happened and ended up believing it himself. I didn't start reading the Bible until several years later. The Bible strengthens my belief because it's history based and I'm a retired history teacher.

First, thru faith. We all demonstrate faith every day, in many areas of life. How do U know the chair will hold your weight without thourough examination? Ans: You see others sitting in similar chairs and your experience moves U to trust, and then sit. Faith. Secondly, there ARE secular sources in history that provide proof of prophecy other than scripture itself...and prophecy is a sure source of confirmation of authenticity. Hope this hrelps. Be well.

Because it is inspired of God (2 Timothy 3:16) also please read (2 Timothy 3 :1-5) it talks about the time we are living in now, the attitude of people, (Revelation 21:4) Gives a bright hope for the future.

Well when you read the Holy Bible in the Spirit and it comes alive to you it is a pretty good indication there is something supernatural about it.
