7 + 2x ^4 =89

    Start by subtracting 7 from both sides:

    2x^4 = 89 - 7

    2x^4 = 82

    Now divide both sides by 2:

    x^4 = 41

    Now take the fourth root of both sides:

    x = ±∜41

    In that order

    So the fourth root of 41 is approx +2.53 -2.53 +2.53i and -2.53i
