2003 I was serving as assistant principal in a school district where I had also taught for 18 years. A new principal came on board who was jealous of my established rapport with parents, students, and the faculty. Consequently, she persuaded the superintendent to deny my tenure on the basis that she did all the work and I stood buy and watched her.

I was forced to leave a school district that I loved. I successfully found a position as principal in another district (paying much more money) where I served for 8 years before retiring.

I can't let go of the pain this caused me. In my mind I want closure. I want to leave it behind and move on in life. I have not learned how to forgive and forget.

I would go back to the age of 10 when I was diagnosed with an incurable disease...then I would try and be proactive to find a cure.
