Help! I think I messed up!?
I bought an 18 pound frozen turkey to defrost gradually in my refrigerator. I left it in my car for a day and now it feels like its defrosted, although I saw that it takes 3-5 days to defrost one that big. I've put it in the fridge, but I'm concerned that there is too long of a time period between today and when I cook it on Thanksgiving! I need help!
Unfortunately, although the nights were really cold and the days cool, I suspect that my car got up to 55 degrees! :(

Depends where you live... is your car cold like a fridge?
If your car at all was in the sun or warmed up inside for a few hours I would toss it. Like where I live it's 70 degrees outside... lol, that turkey would have been partially cooked in the mid-afternoon sun.
But if it's like 30 degrees where you live and being outside or in the car is almost like a fridge, you should be fine.

if the temp wasn't above 45 degrees and it was cloudy, the turkey should be ok
