There is only one Being who is God. This means that the three persons who subsist in the one Being of God are equal and equally God. None of the three persons were ever created, which means that the one Godhead has always been a tri-unity.
If the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit had been the same person, then it would have been nonsense, one of them talking to, or praying to, the others. Sadly, there are a few people who claim there is only one person who is God, who has used different names at different times (to suit whatever function he was carrying out). Oneness Pentecostals make such a claim and they have caused much confusion but because they deny the three persons in the Godhead, they are not accepted as orthodoxly Christian.
The Chritian Trinity doctrine is clear that the Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Father, and the Holy Spirit is neither the Father nor the Son. The three relate in particular ways to the others (as denoted by the names Father and Son - there is your clue as to how those two relate - but there is no concept of one causing the creation of the other.)
Try the links below for more clarity. This is a profound matter because God is not merely the construct of human imagination. If that had been the case, Christians would never have come up with the Trinity explanation! But God has revealed much of Himself over the centuries, with much more to be discovered once we get to the glory!

Only the bible can answer your question. Our human reasoning cannot answer it (Prov 3:5)
So here are some scriptures which you can study for yourself (2Tim 2:15 & 3:16)
The bible declares:
The Father is God and is eternal (Gal 1:1 & Isa 57:15)
The Son is God and is eternal (Heb 1:8 & Mich 5:2)
The Holy Spirit is God and is eternal (John 4:24 & Heb 9:14)
All three persons form a TRI-UNITY of ONE God co-existing and co-equal in the eternal Godhead which is the trinity ( Gen 1:26, Mat 28:19, Rom 1:20 & 1John 5:7)
When Jesus was on earth all the FULLNESS of the Godhead was inside him (Col 2:9)
The Godhead cannot be thought of in human terms so this is why its important to trust the scriptures and believe it by faith (Acts 17:29 & Heb 11:1-3)
In fact, the concept of the Godhead is called the "MYSTERY of God" (Col 2:2)
Are you saved friend ?
Eternal life is a FREE GIFT by Gods grace to man (Rom 6:23 & Eph 2:8-9)
Simply believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and you will be saved (Acts 16:31, Rom 10:9 & 1Cor 15:1-4)

God is a trinity of persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is not the same person as the Son; the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is not the same person as the Father. They are not three gods and not three beings. They are three distinct persons; yet, they are all the one God. Each has a will, can speak, can love, etc. These are demonstrations of personhood. They are in absolute perfect harmony consisting of one substance. They are coeternal, coequal, and copowerful. If any one of the three were removed, there would be no God.

The same being: yes...but not the same **person**.
This particular area of the doctrine of trinity can be explained like this:
- God is the eternal union of the three divine persons, so
- - the Father is God
- - Jesus is *that very same God*
- - the Holy Spirit is *that very same God*
However, the three divine persons are *distinct*, which means
- - the Father is not Jesus
- - the Father is not the Holy Spirit
- - Jesus is not the Holy Spirit
The three divine persons are *distinct*, but they are also eternally united as the single being we call "God".
So: **if** we accept what the doctrine of trinity teaches, then Jesus never prayed to himself in the Bible.

1 Corinthians 8:6 answers the question for you. In simple terms the word trinity is not found in the bible and does not support the ideology of the trinity. In fact Jesus cannot pray to himself, it does not make sense. Also Jesus always gives glory to the father so how can he be the father if he is the son?? It doesn't make sense the trinity is not true.

Same being and essence of God, yes. Distinct persons, however.
Jesus prayed to Himself? No. While human, He prayed to His Father.

The three divine Persons are perfectly equal to one another, because all are one and the same God.
"Such as the Father is, such is the Son, and such is the Holy Ghost. The Father Uncreated, the Son Uncreated, and the Holy Ghost Uncreated. The Father Infinite, the Son Infinite, and the Holy Ghost Infinite. The Father Eternal, the Son Eternal, and the Holy Ghost Eternal, and yet they are not Three Eternals but One Eternal. As also there are not Three Uncreated, nor Three Infinite, but One Uncreated, and One Infinite. So likewise the Father is Almighty, the Son Almighty, and the Holy Ghost Almighty. And yet they are not Three Almighties, but One Almighty." (From the Athanasian Creed.)
All three Persons are equal in every way, equal in power and glory. The attributes and external works of God are common to all three Persons. However, in human speech we attribute certain works to each Person. Thus we attribute to the Father the works of creation, to the Son the work of redemption, and to the Holy Ghost the work of sanctification. In reality these works belong equally to all three.

Yes they are the same being. No, Jesus isn't necessarily praying to himself. It's not understandable by a person.

The Bible does not teach that Jehovah, Jesus and the holy spirit are one. However it does teach that Jehovah is the Almighty God who created his son Jesus and the holy Spirit is Jehovah s active force. In fact, when Jesus was sent to live on earth he never claimed to be God or his equal. In John 17:3 Jesus prayed to his father: "This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ."
Here s a few more bible verses to think about:
Jesus prays to God. (John 17:1-3)
Jesus has faith in God. (Hebrews 2:17,18, Hebrews 3:2)
Jesus is a servant of God. (Acts 3:13)
Jesus does not know things God knows. (Mark 13:32, Revelation 1:1)
Jesus worships God. (John 4:22)
Jesus is in subjection to God. (1 Corinthians 15:28)
Jesus head is God. (1 Corinthians 11:1)
Jesus is made high priest by God. (Hebrews 5:10)
Jesus is given authority by God. (Philippians 2:9)
Jesus is given judgment by God. (Acts 10:42)

The Nicene Creed states that the Son is "of one being with the Father".
The English phrases "of one being" and "one in being" translate the Greek word "homo~ousios", which was rendered in Latin by "consubstantialis".
