Are liberal finally admitting that the government is corrupt?

Logical consistency is among Democrats' weakest attributes. They have so little that it's one of their most endearing traits - a key part of what makes them and the stories they spin so laughable most of the time.

Personally, I celebrate this weakness of theirs - Go, Dems, Go! lol

No, people like take your job, your job is not corrupt, maybe the Prez or manager but the business is based on decisions that's best for the business. Some corrupt people try to present false or misleading information trying to drive the business in a specific direction that is in there interest.

I also can guarantee you do not want Gov. out of your life, Clean Air, Water you want the Chemical Co. to be trusted in not dumping harmful chemicals into streams.

I don't think you understand the desperate need to increase revenue in large Co.

Government should get out of our relationships (gay marriage)

Government should get out of decisions between us and our doctors (abortion)

Government should treat all its citizens rights equally (criminal justice system)

Government should protect its citizens from corporate abuse in the work place, in the environment and in our political campaigns.

Government should keep weapons out of the hands of felons, violent domestic abusers, the mentally ill, etc.

There is a role for GOOD GOVERNMENT and no excuse for BAD GOVERNMENT.

This answer might be a little too nuanced for the average conservative. You tend to think in absolutes, “All Government bad, all Taxes bad, all regulation bad.” While the more educated and thoughtful liberal understands that common sense regulation, tax policy and government involvement can help solve issues. For example, the Jim Crow laws might still exist if it weren’t for Federal Government intervention in the South.

A society without government intervention is not a society at all - it's anarchy. Sane and sensible regulations are not only helpful, they are necessary.

no, no, no. what they believe is that a government run by themselves will be pristine and clean -- despite decades of experience with Nancy Pelosi enriching her husband, Jesse Jackson and Bill Clinton using their positions to chase skirts, etc etc.
