Bad parenting. Parents today don't bother teaching their kids anything. Parents put trust in the schools to teach kids. First mistake. The schools are 100 percent liberal all the time. (public schools). Colleges are worse. So there should be no surprise of what the final product will be. Ever watch Pink Floyd's the Wall. Thats what public education does to children. Teachers, leave dim kids alone!

If we know what 'lie' you're talking about you might have a point. Most, if not all of the 'lies' that the GOP/Tea/Fox/Jesus freak party are differences of opinion. It's not a 'lie' that minimum wage has fallen far behind inflation, and it isn't a lie that corporate taxes are all 'pass through', so they actually pay nothing. It's not a lie that our physical and social infrastructure is falling apart for lack of tax money. It's not a lie that climate change is a real threat and to get votes from the Jesus freaks the Party of No is at war with women's rights and at war with gays in this country. Young people know that the rich are getting richer, education is way more expensive now then in past generations. They know that HEALTH INSURANCE from the health insurance mafia is far more costly then if it was some form of MEDICARE. So...what 'lies' are we talking about?

I had a cousin that believed that Hobby Lobby went to court so its insurance did not have to provide ANY type of birth control at all

I thought it was just her being a bubble head, but all her friends on facebook believed the same thing

they all, pretty much limited themselves to reading stuff from huffington, daily kos, salon, etc

and the writers on those webpages, while never specificl lying and saying hobby lobby did not provide any birth control, wrote thier articles in such a way as to seriously suggest it to the readers and for sure never mentioned that they already provided all 17 options that were in the ACA law when it was passed

2. so my liberal cousin and her friends all had hissy fits, when i told them the truth and I got the usual liberal rants -- your lying, fox news told you that, where is your link, etc

so I went and proved to them, they were all wrong and provided a link they would accept

and then they all just went silent- end of story -- none of them were mad that they had been purposely mislead by the liberal media

3. researchers have actually proven that liberals are misinformed about conservative positions, because all they read is liberal media - usually written by extremist far left liberals

that is why you get most liberals spouting war on women, war on minorities BS

4. was funny, one of the actress's that used to be on Friends was on Bill Mahr and he asked her what did she think about the republican war on women

One of the things that amaze me is the constant lies about what libs say that cons are quoting for years, out of context, and cherry picked as being relevant to anything other than their own interests.

Things like "We have to pass it before we read it". When all laws go through that.

Or, "what difference does it make", when it referred to what the committee wanted her to name, conclusively the particular group who attacked in Benghazi, and not to disinterest in the dead.

Or, "You didn't build that", when referring to the businesses that use public roads as distribution for their products, and not their business's origins.

Or the entire Limbaugh "Sandra Fluke is a Slut who wants me to pay for her birth control" rant that had nothing to do with Fluke wanting anything free, or for birth control or her use of it.

And you obediently believed all of that. Even when a simple Google search would have enlightened you.

They aren't ignorant, they checked, and they found out that in many very big and proud ways, conservatives lie their azzes off to them. And being young they still have some ideals, and they don't like it.

Well a complete lack of any real life experience goes a long way towards seeing that that's the case.

It is not ignorance at work in young people. They may not have developed that cynical attitude yet that will lead them to lose hope in humanity and turn conservative.
