I have used lemon juice combined with some other things and it has worked, but it doesn't work overnight. Also the lemon really dries out your skin, so use a little bit of it mixed with pure vitamin e or 100% organic coconut oil and apply every night.

This is what I used and continue to use for an even skin tone.

Once a week I do an avacado and honey face mask. Sometimes I add a few drops of lemon oil or vitamin e oil to the mixture. I leave it on for about 20 minutes then wash it off.

Twice a day I use 100% witch hazel (this really helped when I had uneven skin, really lightens up and you can see a difference in a few days. I apply it in the morning and at night with a cotton pad.

If you have the time and patience you will see a change. I have tired the expensive products and prescriptions and they didn't work. This natural alternative works great for me and is inexpensive!

Yes - lemon juice CAN help. It can brighten your complexion so even people without acne marks can use it as a toner and stuff to help their skin look bright and glowing. For people with marks though, it can work to fade them over time. It can cause problems however. Depending on what kind of skin you have, you may experience burning, redness, etc...

This is common for people who have sensitive skin. Use it with caution! Apply some to a small area first and wait a few minutes. If you don't notice any bad side effects, carry on using it for all your acne marks. If you notice stinging that lasts more than a couple of seconds (it may sting a little bit at first as your skin adjusts to it), wash it off with cool water immediately.

Here's some other information regarding acne marks/scars -

While they can be tricky to deal with and embarrassing, most of the time, they will actually fade naturally on their own... but this can take months or longer, depending on how bad they are. If they're surface marks, you can try to speed on the process by massaging them with coconut oil, Palmer's cocoa butter products, or vitamin e (get some gel or buy capsules, then bust them and rub the gel over the scars). Also, be sure you're wearing sunscreen EVERY SINGLE DAY - even if the sun isn't out. SPF will help protect your scars from the sun's damaging affects and help promote healing. You can also find different products for acne marks (Clean and Clear makes one and Clearasil has some washes/scrubs for marks).

If they're NOT surface marks and are actual scars (like pit marks), you may have to see a dermatologist for help.

Good luck! I hope this helps you! If you need any other advice for treating acne with you get it (other than popping them), dealing with blackheads, or basic skin care tips or anything, let me know!
