If this life is all there is and if our species will eventually die out, then what is the point of morality?

If in the end, all our lives and societies will cease to exist and will not even be a memory in this or any other world, what justification is there for not doing whatever the heck we want? The choice to donate to the poor or steal from them will not have any lasting effect. In the end, it is all the same.

(Note: I do not believe this, and I also am not attempting to poke fun at anyone's beliefs or non-beliefs. It is just a question that i have heard asked that I would like some honest answers to.)

Moral awareness proves three things, God, a judgement to come and an afterlife.

There is no logical or reasonable way around those three truths.

Place yourself in the position of the less fortunate. How would you feel if the more fortunate ignored you.

No-one chooses to be born. Certainly the desperately poor haven't wished for their lot in life.

Charity isn't a virtue. It's just the decent thing to do.

A person could live in a pig pen filled with pig poo, also, but what is the point of living like that, if we have a chance to live a better life? Morals, give us better lives.

You know, you're right. You just totally convinced me. So since morality is pointless now, how much for your wife?

The world will never end. Except the world of doom and gloom preachers. That is dying now.

I think this is fairly obvious and I don't know why you bother to spread this baloney around.
