what are the slaves view on slavery?

contains stories that the government collect from former slaves. These are the actual thoughts of the ex-slaves themselves.

The slaves had trouble getting a pollster to determine what the majority of the slaves felt about slavery.

This question seems to come from a very naive

person to me.

Just imagine, you are living your life in an African village

several hundred years ago. Some men come with guns,

take the young men and women, kill any who resist, and

then transport these people thousands of miles across

the world, sell them to plantation owners, change their

names to something that they do not understand and

make them work in the unbearable conditions with regular

beatings, rape the women to create babies to make new

slaves and so on.

What on earth do you think that a slaves view on slavery

would be?

It is thoroughly evil.

They were against the whole idea nd system of slavery.

They probably didn't like it but tried to make the best of it.....

they felt the slaveholders were taking their natural right away from them and wanted their freedom

In a nutshell, they don't like it.

They enjoyed it a lot, they didn't want it to end.

I am pretty sure that most of them were against it.
