Local Anesthesia - Xanax or Valium ?

I have to have a cytoscopy (camera slid up my pee pee) to check for polyps and I'm already losing sleep and having mild panic attacks and the procedure is still 4 weeks away.

I'm trying to self medicate as the cytoscopy clinic won't give me anything other than some "numbing gel", no pain killers no opioids, nothing.

So I have access to Valium and Xanax and I'm trying to find out which one will give me the best outcome from a sedation/pain killing point of view - and what dosage is appropriate for an adult male.

Help please !!

Well. My husband had it done and he took his regular dose of Xanax. So yes, I would say Xanax. .50 will help you out. or 1.0, either way, you'll be fine.
