Also btw we don't necessarily celebrate it we do but not as much all we do is celebrate my dad's birthday and go to a family or friends hapuse or someone might come over

It's not about what you get them, it's just the thought. Last year, when I wasn't working, I literally bought my parents candy and wrapped it up, I had no money to spare so I spent £5 on them. And honestly, they were grateful that I'd put the effort it.

Yeah it's fine and you don't have to break the bank in order to get something they like. At least you took the effort to get them something and it's the thought that counts.
