Legal to rent out a home I built myself in Florida?

So, I was really excited about building my own small home in the Panama City area, then I ran across a regulation in the building code, something along the lines of owner/builder cannot sell the home if it was built without a contracting license. Seemed a bit strange to, but I guess it's for liability reasons, I don't know.

However, I failed to see anything prohibiting said owner/builder to rent it out later on. Does anyone have experience with this or similar situation in Florida that maybe they could help clarify this? I'd simply call, but I'm overseas right now. Thanks.

In my state there is a law that says you must live in a house that is built under your circumstances for a minimum of one year before you may rent or sell it. Otherwise it is a felony.

I think you can get it inspected to make sure it is built to code or near that
