Why do some celebrities think they aren't supposed to pay taxes??

Anybody with a lot of money doesn't want to pay tax, why do you think you pay between 15-35%, and someone earning a BILLION dollars a year, only pays 5-7%?

Well, the reluctance of the majority of people to pay taxes is a universal one, not just limited to celebrities.

People believe that what they are paid for doing a job is well deserved and so when the government asks them for a "share" in the form of taxes, they balk at the thought and spend a great deal of EFFORT to AVOID or \ELUD|E this.

It all boils down to poor education as you can trace this attitude from not being told in school that every citizen PAYS TAXES to keep government running. Most children grow up not understanding the concept and moral / legal obligation.

THE REASON I ASKED SPECIFICALLY ABOUT SOME CELEBRITIES IS BECAUSE I HAVE READ IT IN THE NEWS. MAYBE I SHOULDN'T BLAME THE CELEBS PER SE BUT THEIR ACCOUNTANTS OR LAWYERS WHO MAY BE GIVING THEM SOMETHING TO SIGN INVOLVING MONEY AND THE PERSON TRUSTS THEM SO MUCH THAT THEY DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT THEY ARE SIGNING. A FEW HAVE DONE JAIL TIME BECAUSE OF TAX EVASION AND THEY HAVE BEEN TOTALLY RIPPED OFF BECAUSE SOMEONE IS SKIMMING. IF SOMEONE IS HANDLING MY MONEY, TRUST AND BELIEVE I'M GOING TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS EVERYTHING.

Celebrities? There are plenty of people who cheat on taxes or don't file at all. what planet you from?
