im so embarassed about my period?
I'm absolutely terrified of my period and embarassed. I feel gross, uncomfortable around people, and so sad during my period. And it hurts too. My belly hurts during my period and I feel so achy and tired and miserable and embarassed. I was in school and I realized I had my period and the flow was heavy and I got blood all over the seat and my teacher gave me a weird look and so did people in my class and I had to walk around with blood all over my butt. I hate my period as it causes many problems emotionally and physically. Why does this happen to me? How can I feel more confident about my period ? Please help :/

Getting on the pill will lighten your periods dramatically and should stop the cramps a lot. If your stomach is upset just eat crackers and drink some 7-up or Sprite. Taking ibuprofin wilk also help. And if you bled at class just remember that some day those people won't matter anymore. Stay strong and I hope you feel better soon. And you don't have to be sexually active to be on the pill.

You might want to get the longer pads (the ones that are used to wear at night) if you're having a problem with a heavy flow/leaking. As for the pain, consult your doctor. There are some meds you can get over the counter at a pharmacy like CVS or something. You can try Midol. Its specifically formulated to help with the symptoms of a period. Aleve also is a good option.
