I am thinking about having a military education, what are the pros and cons for joining Army, Navy, or Air Force colleges?

I am an all A student, I play football and lacrosse, and I am interested in serving for my country for a couple years after college before going into the business world. What are the pros and cons for a military education, and what is the girl situation?

If you go to one of the Academies while there are females there you will not be allowed to have relationships like at a regular college. Aka No sneaking into someone's dorm room.

You need to have a high GPA, volunteer work, etc and get a backing of a senator. Only a few from each state get accepted each year. It is almost impossible for most to get in

If you are in Grade 12 and haven't submitted an application yet don't bother.

Look into colleges that have ROTC programs instead. That way you are at a regular college, less restrictions and would be easier for you to get into.

It depends. Your qualifications and reasons all seem solid, so IMHO the best route for you is to apply for an ROTC/NROTC scholarship. When you say military education, that typically means one of two things: a military academy, or an ROTC/NROTC scholarship.

Honestly, there are no cons other than having to serve a few years after you get your degree - and commission. I would avoid going enlisted, because it sets back college among other things. You seem overqualified for the enlisted route anyway.

If you have sex with a military chick use a condom.

As for the advantages/disadvantages? Many newer tech companies 'Apple, Google, Facebook, Snapchat' view military service as a liability. They feel the military system of tenure and qualifications conflicts with their meritocracy corporate culture.

More traditional companies are much more appreciative of the military work ethic and values.

My husband married a pretty hot chick while he was in the Army
