How can I get my hair back to how it used to be?

I used to have thick long hair about two years ago. Ever since I started straightening it, I've noticed that it's no longer thick, but becoming thinner. Currently it's almost down to my butt and it just looks very wrong. The texture of my hair is still how silky it was two years ago, but my hair has lost its thickness. What can I do to get it back to how it was?

You can try taking hair burst vitamins (found at Hairburst.com), but they are quite pricey. Or just get some biotin from a Walgreens, CVS, etc. But heat damage shouldn't cause your hair to thin that drastically its honestly probably just that its getting so long. As your hair grows it does seem to get thinner. But taking vitamins may help! If you can, only wash your hair every other day (straightening half as often). You can use dry shampoo to get rid of any grease. Or, if you don't like not washing it, just wear it in an updo maybe once or twice a week! Good Luck!

I have the same problem i started to use deep conditioners and ik this may sound funny but two eggs mixed with a tablespoon of mayo. I also use leave in conditioners cuz i started to see a lot of breakage. My advice is to stop straightening it and let it grow out and get the ends cut every once ina while thn youll start to see your thick hair again
