Will Obama's "Mission Accomplished" declaration see the same reaction which happened after Bush's declaration?
Obama has now said that the war is over in Afghanistan, and that there will be no more terrorist attacks with any connections there. How will his supporters act when it backfires, like Bush's "Mission Accomplished" did?

Bush's "mission accomplished" was spun out of control by the media.
He was referring to one aircraft carrier group which had done service and came home. THEIR mission was accomplished. He used to be a fighter pilot, remember. He was not saying the war had been accomplished but that this battle group had accomplished THEIR mission. If any of you y/a folks had done any military service you would know that.
I wasn't a big fan of Bush but please at least get the facts straight.
As for Obama, doesn't matter what he says, he's a damned liar.
Meanwhile, it only took USA *4* yeas to rebuild a neglected military for WW2 and win a 2 front world war. Yet we've been in the middle east wars for a dozen years and once we are gone it won't have made any difference. Clearly a boondoggle. Such a waste of lives and treasure......

He didn't say there would be "no terrorist attacks' you made that up. He simply said combat missions are over in Afghanistan. Also he actually bothered to fight the war before he said it was over, rather than bush who declared it over a week after it started. Also I don't recall Obama making the speech in a pilot jumpsuit after landing on an aircraft carrier

Well as long as he avoids calling it "mission accomplished" and instead refers to the Afghans with a tone like "well fellas.... we spent a lot of time, money and lives to make this place a little better, we've done what we can... it's your mess now." He'll have 70% of the American people behind him and instead of sounding like a moron like Bush did.... will be absolutely correct.

I am unable to find where he said that there would be no more terrorist attacks with any connections there. Is this like where Obama gets criticized for breaking a promise to immediately bring all the troops home once elected...even though he never made that promise?

Bush's "Mission Accomplished" declaration was one of a kind...
Obama's declaration means no more US deaths in Afghan...
Are you suggesting that we should stay there forever?

Possibly worse as evidenced by ISIS.
The one Bush is given "credit" for was a sign that was put up by the ship not Bush. It was also in reference to a single mission among many.

Sorry but you won't get any real mileage out of that... BUSH was full of S*H*I*T! Obama didn't START the F*U*C*K*ING WAR either -- BUSH started two horrible wars and he F*U*C*K*E*D UP big time! Sorry little WHINER but I guess you get to now F*U*C*K OFF! of course not!..has the MSM EVER given "The (incompetent) One" the same level of mocking scrutiny they gave Bush?! (FYI Lefties, that "mission accomplished" banner that you SO love to use against Bush was place there by the CREW of the ship!..and it was in reference to THEIR mission!..not the countries as a whole!)

Mission Accomplished. Does that mean he got in 18 holes?
