Is there hope for me with this girl.?

So there's this girl that I like and she told me she likes me. But she also has major issues with relationships as well. I had her over my house on New Years and we were cuddling while watching a movie and ended up kissing. It was my first kiss. We actually kissed like 5 times and it was long and nice. I have feelings for her and she says she does for me. The things is she doesn't want to loose a friendship with me and relationships end with breakups. So now she doesn't want to kiss or be anything more than friends because she said it would be too hard to stop once we do and she's like afraid of all emotional relationships because she's been in some really lousy relationships and she just doesn't like it anymore. I'm sad because I really like this girl and I've been through so much and I'm only 17 years old it was nice to finally have a girl who I liked and she likes me back. It made me feel good about myself. Things seem hopeless and I don't feel like I have the confidence right now to just "find a different girl." Plus I still really like her and want to be with her. I don't know if she will ever get over her fear of relationships and give me a chance. I feel pretty down right now.
