Is anyone else angry and embarrassed that among all those world leaders in Paris marching against radical islam, Obama was absent?

It was totally embarrassing that among all those world leaders, from Europe to the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, the man often referred to as the leader of the free world was conspicuously absent.

I assume he had an important fundraiser that conflicted...

Or maybe a golf game.

His refusal to publicly acknowledge the problem for what it is, radical islam, is just another example of the cowardice and incompetence of this useless community organizer.

Update:

I am not the only one! From an article by Doug Schoen, a DEMOCRATIC campaign consultant:

"Sunday, President Obama morally abdicated his place as the leader of the free world.

His decision to stay home instead of standing side by side with French President Hollande as millions marched in Paris in solidarity with the slain journalists of Charlie Hebdo in opposition to radical Islam – an enemy fiercer than we have seen in decades – sent a clear message to the world: Obama just doesn’t care."

Update 2:

"His words about the horrendous terrorist attack this week were not enough. They came off as inauthentic at best and offensive at worst."

"To this end, it is not surprising that President Obama is the only Western leader who has refused to call this attack Islamic terrorism, even though President Hollande has declared that France is it at war with radical Islam."

Update 3:

"And to not even send Vice President Joe Biden or Secretary of State John Kerry in his place shows a level of disrespect that makes me ashamed of our nation.

We are at war with radical Islam. And President Obama needs to say it."

OK, I agree that to arrange a presidential trip, with all the security required, would have been difficult on such short notice. But to have sent NO high ranking representative is inexcusable! The vice president or at least secretary of state should have attended!

Update 4:

Even spokesliar Josh Ernest admitted this, under intense questioning at his press briefing today. I think it is the first time I ever heard him admit that the community organizer ever made a mistake!

Truly a landmark event!

Obama is just demonstrating his irrelevance.

He should know by now nobody cares what he says or does, so he just didn't show up.

If POTUS wanted to show and had something meaningful to say, he would, but he doesn't.

I am not angry or embarrassed, I would be happy to pay him to spend the next 2 years playing golf and shut his lying mouth. Take the rest of his term off and I would be happy.

I'm not embarrassed. But I agree with the Republicans that the president should have at least sent a delegate to the march. At the same time, playing domestic politics on the international field is a little ridiculous as well.

I tell you what, you name 5 things in the last 6 years that the leader of the free world has done that did NOT make you angry and/or embarrassed and I will put some effort into seeing this from your perspective. I seriously doubt that I am the only one who long ago tired of the constant whining from people who can not be pleased.

I heard on a serious talk show a caller call in that said as long as a situation was not called a war (against anyone) then we were permitted to attend a gathering, however the caller brought it to our attention that France considered it a war (of some kind) so maybe somewhere (maybe in our constitution or something) that we couldn't attend. The show host agreed that us not sending anyone was a good move. In addition it was said that America was just over there in March so it's not like we're ignoring France.

The only people who think American Presidents are leaders of the free world are Americans.

Why Americans delude themselves into thinking something so utterly ridiculous is a bit of a mystery.

Everyone else on the planet knows the Free World has never held any elections on the subject for Americans to sit around claiming it.

Which why nobody but Americans gives a sh*t who they did or didn't send to France.

  • For Obama to be there would have distracted from the true meaning of the march - the people of Paris rising up against the oppressive terrorism of the Islamic fundamentalists, and other fundamentalists of all stripes.

Barack Obama is a constant embarrassment to the United States of America.

I like Bill O'Reilly's comment on the matter. He said Eric Holder was already in Paris. All he would have had to do was pick up his latte and take it across the street, but he didn't.

Looks like, at least, John Kerry or Joe Biden could have been sent.

Sending Eric Holder is almost as bad as sending Al Sharpton.

We should all turn our backs to him in silent protect. Like they did for the Mayor! Not even worth the hassle! Sad isn't it! When you want something for nothing that's what you get! Nothing alot of talk!
