I'm a crappy singer unless I'm singing in a falsetto. What the heck?

I mean, I'm sure I can be trained to sing full voice, but I literally can't get the breathing right and my voice is mega throaty. For some reason, I can sing falsetto. And, I can sing in it really well. I'm a male tenor, and in falsetto I can hit the high note in Let It Go (I think that's a high C?). I have no idea why this is. I mean, are some people just born "falsetto" singers? I guess Frankie Valley and Adam Levine were...?
