Read message, no reply... Argh!?

I’ve been talking to a guy for about three weeks. He has been on holiday pretty much the whole time but before he left he said he didn’t want to talk to anyone else and wanted to to just talk to him too.

He would usually message me all throughout the day, but in the past two days he has messaged less. This morning we texted for awhile and got a little dirty.

I messaged on my break from work asking where he was travelling to today. I could see he read it but didn’t reply. A few hours later I could see he was online on the app we use but still didn’t reply. This is a pet peeve of mine. Is it that hard to just say, I’m busy I’ll talk to you another time?

Anyway, I messaged and said he was on sh!t list and he replied right away asking why is that?

I realize I acted crazy, so just said that I was distracted at work today because he got me so excited this morning.

My question is:

1) Did I recover from this ok?

2) Why do you read a message and not reply?
