  • Dating: He hasn't replied, am I over-analyzing?

I have been facebook messaging this guy I went to primary school with for 2 ½ weeks. We are 25 now. He ended up coming over on Saturday night. I made dinner, we watched some movies, drank some wine and he ended up staying. We had a really nice night.

The next two days we have been messaging like normal. Last night he sent me a message and I replied. My reply wasn’t a question.

It was something along the lines of:

    Him: Working 6 days straight?

Me: Yes, but its worth it to have a 3 day weekend

Him: You weren’t saying that Sunday morning (when I had to leave for work and he was still over)

Me: Haha well you have me there..

I can see he has read the message but hasn’t replied to my last message.

On one hand, I figure it was late at night, I didn’t ask a question and it was just the normal end of a conversation.

On the other hand, I’ve convinced myself he is no longer interested and I am never going to hear from him again.

    Am I being crazy?

  • Do I make the first contact or wait for him after first sleepover?

I went to primary school with this guy, and it was his birthday 2 weeks ago. He turned 25. We are both single and I had always thought he was cute so I thought I would send him a private message saying Happy Birthday and seeing how he has been.

We chatted non-stop for two weeks and last night he came over for dinner and to watch a movie. We hadn't seen each other in years but it was like no time had passed and we really clicked.

We watched three movies, drank wine, laughed, talked and he ended up spending the night. We didn't go to sleep until 3am because we were talking so much. I had to go to work this morning but we layed in bed cuddling and kissing and talking which was so nice. He left when I left for work and he gave me a big kiss.

This was 2 1/2 hours ago. I don't know what to do now. Usually after a first date I won't contact the guy and will let him contact me. However, I feel like this is different.

    1) We already know each other

    2) I really felt like he liked me as much as I liked him

    3) This wasn't a date

    4) We've been chatting non-stop for 2 weeks

So, do I wait for him to contact me or if I haven't heard from him by the time I finish work do I reach out.. I really like him and don't want to play games but also don't want to come off as clingy/needy.

    Help?

  • Recruiters contacting you about YOUR job?

Have you ever heard of a company contacting recruiters and giving them your details to ask you about your job before they fire you?

My husband has had two recruiters call him with a job opportunity that sounds very similar to what he does not. He works for one of the big four banks and to me it sounds as though he is being paranoid but do companies do this?

He is a full time employee and has had no written warnings and is a high performer.

He spoke out in a meeting the other day and has "rocked the boat" and his manager is angry at him, but in no way has he done anything which he could be fired for (unless you can be fired for having an opinion?)

  • Is my client flirting with me?

A client from work and I get on pretty well and have gone out with a work group before and always have fun.

I have done a big job for him recently and he offered to take me out for a drink last week to say thank you. This was our email exchange:

Him: I completely forgot that I have my parents in town this weekend so I can't make drinks tonight. Sorry - can we reschedule.

Me: Ofcourse :) Just let me know when (and have an awesome weekend with your parents!)

Him: Thanks! I’ll try. We will definitely do something soon though. Promise.

Me: Actually, Tuesday before Easter there is an after work happy hour- We can totally abuse the free drinks and then carry on elsewhere.

Him: Done. Lets use that one and we can always do something early next week if you're keen.

Me: Sorry! I was off yesterday.. I really think I am in the running for employee of the month ;) haha I'm not in again until Friday after today so we might as well leave it until next week but we should try and make it a bit more of a regular thing. I never get to see you because you are upstairs and I am chained to my desk out the back... folding paper planes :p

At this point he came downstairs and he said he was looking forward to the easter happy hour and we can grab dinner aftwerwards with the rest of the cool kids if I wanted. I said that sounded good.

Him: Sounds like a plan. We go usually every Friday so come join us then.

Is this flirting? Or just being friendly?

  • In our situation, would you wait to have a baby?

This is our situation in a nutshell:

I am 23 and my husband is 27, we have been together for 8 years.

He has a Bachelors degree in computer science and a masters degree in applied finance.

I have completed 1/2 a bachelors degree in psychology, and am returning to university this year to complete my studies.

He works full time and earns $130,000 (earning potential with bonus $180,000)

I work full time and earn $50,000, but will be going part time to accomodate my studies.

We rent a 3 bedroom apartment which is $525 per week. We are looking for a house in the area for the same weekly cost or there abouts.

We have a fair bit of debt- he has a personal loan + credit card which come to roughly $25,000.

    I have a personal loan for $7,800.

We have two cars- his is fully paid off, he recently purchased me a brand new car on interest free finance (roughly $50,000)

We are expecting an inheretence to be paid any day ranging from $15,000-$30,000 which will go soley towards paying off debt.

If you were in our situation, would you wait to have a baby?

  • I feel uncomfortable being sexual with my husband?

My husband and I are very intimate.. we are always cuddling and touching in some way but when it comes to sex I am very shy.

We used to have crazy wild sex when we first got together, and then my husband went on some medication which gave him erectile dysfunction. Our sex life suffered for a few years but now everything is working as it should except I feel so uncomfortable and shy.

I got used to not having sex and now when we do I feel awkward!

has anyone gone through this? How can I get out of this and start having those feelings again?

  • Adding a third cat to our family?

My husband and I want to get another cat.

We currently have two, Audrey who is 8 and Harlow who is 4.

We live in a 3 bedroom apartment. We have two bathrooms and one bathroom is where we keep their litter box. If we get another cat we will get two new extra large litter boxes.

Is three cats too many? We don't want to come across as "weird cat people"but we adore our cats and want another!

  • Husband says our marriage might end because I don’t clean enough.?

I have noticed for the past few days my husband hadn’t been himself, so last night I jokingly said “you aren’t thinking about leaving me are you?” and he said “sometimes I think about it”. I was floored- I didn’t think anything was wrong!

He said he is very upset the way I maintain our house, that the mess makes him anxious and he doesn’t feel supported by me.

We both work full time, and he earns 3 times what I make. He pays for the majority of the bills, however a half my pay goes to our shared expenses and the rest of my money pays for my individual expenses such as travel to work and personal bills. He is studying at night too, so he expects me to do all the housework. He thinks because he brings in the bacon, I should maintain the house.

I don’t have an issue with this, but I do it on my time. I got home from work at 7:00pm last night, had my dinner, changed the cat litter, scrubbed the laundry floor where the litter is kept and took the rubbish to the bin. I then went to the gym, came home and prepared food for when he got home. There are other things that needed to be done such as folding the laundry (which I will admit had built up and really needs to be done) but the majority of it is his clothes and why do I have to do EVERYTHING!

I mentioned what I had done, and he said that I was defensive and this is why he doesn’t talk to me about it.. because I just get upset. He said he thinks if we had children together our marriage would end because we would fight too much.

I am really hurt.. I thought we were happy, and I feel like I spend my life trying to make him happy and feel supported but it is never enough.

  • My boss is being really rude to me?

I really used to like my boss. She owns the business I work for, which is a serviced office. Lately however, she has been very rude (not just to me but to 2 of the other girls that work here as well).

I’m really unsure of how to handle this, as we have to grievance procedure in place, and she is the director, so obviously she will not be spoken to by anyone.

For example, today she asked me to update some information on our system. She told me to remove some old notes, and write them in a more succinct format. I did this, then she asked where the old notes were. I told her I’d deleted them and she yelled “No!!!”. We were sitting right next to each other, and I jumped back and said “sorry”. I still had the notes written down, so was able to put them back in.

She also makes little comments all the time about everyone’s mood. For instance, I came into work 15 minutes early so I could eat my breakfast in the kitchen. We start at 8:30am and I was washing up my dish and she came in hustling me out of the kitchen to sit at my desk and get things started. I was right on time? She then came out and told me she was disappointed in the team and why were we all so sleepy and grumpy? Umm.. I was in the best mood until you started at me!

I don’t know if I should talk to her or not? I am here fulltime, and am returning to university in 4 months. Should I just hold out and look for a new part time position when I go back to uni? She had said she would keep me on, but with how she acts I don’t think I would last!

  • Feeling insecure about husbands past?

My husband and I separated for a few months last year. It was my idea to separate as I was unhappy.

During the time that we were split up we both slept with other people. Even though we both slept with other people, I feel so insecure and anxious about it.

The woman my husband slept with had an amazing body, and was very confident sexually. The way he talks about that encounter makes me feel inadequate.

We have been back together for almost a year, and things are going better than ever between us, but when I think about this I feel close to throwing up.

    Any advice?

  • Should I get my degree before having a baby?

My husband and I want to start our family in 2/3 years.

I was planning on returning to university next year to finish my Psych degree, it will take me three years to complete this.

I am wondering if it is worth it, when I attend on having a baby and staying home for a few years, while the baby is growing up.

My husband and I want to buy a house next year, although he earns good money it would be alot easier for us if I stay in my admin role.. but I don't want to be a receptionist for the rest of my life!

BTW I am 23 this year

  • Should I keep my baby?

I found out I was pregnant a week ago. I went into total shock.. I was scared, upset, fearful and had this overwhelming feeling of dread.

I booked in to have a termination yesterday, but the doctor couldn't do it because I am only 3 weeks along and the chance of them missing it what too high, so I had to book in for a months time.

I'm now wondering if this is a sign.

I am 22 and am married, my husband is 27.

My husband has a degree, has almost finished his masters and earns $130,000 pa.

I have not finished my undergrad degree, and earn $45,000 pa.

We have some debt, and recently he bought me a luxury car on finance.

I don't have any family close by (my mum died when I was 11 and my dad lives over an hour away)

My husband wants to keep the baby, but is supportive of whatever I decide. I worry that if I keep it, I will never get my education or have success in my career.

Can anyone offer any advice? I'm so lost.

  • 4 weeks pregnant... up 2 dress sizes.. is this normal?

I am very recently pregnant (4 or 5 weeks).

In the past week each day I have become more and more bloated.. I am seriously holding so much water. My face is puffy, my stomach, hips and thighs are bloated and sore.. even my arms are bigger!

My diet hasn't changed, and I am already not fitting in to my clothes. Is this normal? I am so upset and I feel so fat and gross.

Does anyone know how to reduce this bloating?

  • How important is sex in a marriage?

I have been married almost 2 years, dating my husband for 7.

When we first got together the sex was HOT. There was lots of intense passion and it was all consuming.

Over the years it has dwindled off and although still good its not as it was. We hardly kiss anymore, and when we do it feels forced and not very enjoyable (hence why we don't do it).

Neither of us are bothered by our sex life- DH is successful and with that comes long hours, high stress and late nights at home preparing for meetings and such.

My girlfriends have told me I should be worried that my husband doesnt want to have sex with me all the time.. but I know how busy he is, and if I was that busy I would sometimes pick sleep over sex too!

    Should I be worried?
