Absolute value question?

0 < abs(x-2) <1/2

So treating these as two inequalities I get

0< abs(x-2)

x<2 x>-2

AND

abs(x-2) < 1/2

x>2.5 x>1.5

So to write in interval form

(-infinity, -2) U (1.5,2.5)

Is this correct??

Thanks for the help

Pretty close. Just don't forget the other side of the inequality.

In your second step, you left out the part with 1/2, which you can't do if you want the inequality to be the same.

All the reasoning in the rest of the steps is fine.
