Need help from cactus expert!!?
My cactus had white fluffy mold and I thought I was rescuing it but cutting the "healthy" half. I thought I would dry it so I can replant but the inside is literally just liquid gue.
Is that normal? What should I do? Can the to part survive?

Cactuses are not fond of being cut in half. A cactus is referred to as a
succulent plant. They take up and hold water. That is how they survive
in the desert. The gooey substance you see inside the plant is very
normal. Wow, normally I would just say to throw the cactus away
because it shouldn't have been cut. What you could try is this; if the
part you want to keep has any roots on it at all, or even if it doesn't,
buy some potting soil and add a lot of sand to it because cactuses
grow in sand. Plant the part you want to try and save into that soil/
sand mixture. Give it a LITTLE drink of water. Sit it near a window
but not in direct sun. Hope for the best. I will be honest, I don't have
a lot of hope that it will survive because its inside is exposed, but
give it a try. Just so you know, cactuses need their soil to dry right
out pretty well before you water them again. The fact that your
cactus developed mold tells me you were keeping it too wet. The
part that you are trying to save, keep it slightly damp but not wet.
I hope it lives.

The mold means you over watered it. If your cactus survives, it will have a brown crust on top of it.
