Can I buy a game from my US PS4 on my Japanese account using funds from my wallet?
I'm looking at getting a game from the Yakuza line (even if I don't fully understand it, it's a lot of fun!) for my PS4. I know that the PS4 is region free and I know that I can download things from them (I downloaded the demo). However, I have no idea what one has to do for purchasing games. Will PSN automatically convert my US money, or will I have to purchase it through retail import?

The Japanese PSN will only accept Japanese credit cards, so your only option to buy things from the Japanese store is to get JPY prepaid PSN cards.

It will not convert currencies. You'd need to add a Japanese credit card to your Japanese account, or buy PSN Wallet codes in Yen to add to the account
