  • Can I buy a game from my US PS4 on my Japanese account using funds from my wallet?

I'm looking at getting a game from the Yakuza line (even if I don't fully understand it, it's a lot of fun!) for my PS4. I know that the PS4 is region free and I know that I can download things from them (I downloaded the demo). However, I have no idea what one has to do for purchasing games. Will PSN automatically convert my US money, or will I have to purchase it through retail import?

    Thanks!

  • What's your best argument for the existence of God?

Yeah, I know everyone asks "Where's the proof of God?"

And we all know how terribly that goes.

So, instead of that, i want to know what's the best justification you have for believing in God? It could be why you believe, or what you like about religion, or whatever else you want.

So, what's the best argument you have?

  • Wii U backwards compatibility...?

Now, i've heard that the Wii U is backwards compatible with Wii games, but I'm concerned that it may not be able to play games that you had to point at the screen. For example, I know it will play games like Resident Evil 4 and New Super Mario Bros, but idk how or if it will play games like Wario Ware: Smooth Moves or Call Of Duty. Could someone please explain to me what games it plays and if there's anything extra required for playing Wii games? Thank you!

  • So, photoshop to flash question...?

I am currently making a background for someone in an 8-bit setting, and I want to make the symbols in photoshop and convert them into symbols in flash. However, no matter what background I choose (transparent or white) the background becomes white for each symbol.

How can I make it so that the only part of the symbol I have is the actual content without the background?

  • I'm having some problems with Adobe Flash CS6 and audio.... help?

Okay, so I'm fairly new to Adobe flash, but I downloaded the trial version to check it out. I'm having a fantastic time with it, but I'm having a problem with the audio.

So, I made a cheap 40 second sound clip with Audacity, exported it as a wav, and imported it into my library. I placed it on my stage with an open layer and it became a part of the layer.

However, here's where the problems start.

The audio doesn't stop playing, even after I've clicked the pause button on the animation, or even after I run out of frames. The sound keeps going until the end of the clip. I can't seem to loop the sound or get the sound to go frame by frame. When I try to loop it, the sound still keeps playing, but if it's started again it plays it again over the first track, so I have two of the same tracks talking to me. When I try to go frame by frame, the sound is silent.

How can I fix the audio so it stops with my frames, and also so I can control it further?

Is there a way with CS6 to get the sound to play frame by frame, or pause when I want it to?

    thank you for your time.

  • To the Christian Community: If I prayed tonight for God to reveal himself to me in my dreams...?

What do you think would happen?

I see so many Christians claiming that God can't be shown to people, while at the same time praising all of the books which make claims that God was found in dreams, or in Near Death Experiences.

So, while people say he can't show himself, others praise how he supposedly has...

So, if one were to pray that this supposed God would reveal themselves in a dream, what would happen?

Would their experience prove that God existed? If they didn't have an experience, would it prove that God doesn't exist?

Sorry to load you up with so much, but just thought I'd ask.

    (P.S. I'm an atheist)

    Thanks!

  • To the Christian Community: Which church do you go to?

Which kind of church do you go to (Catholic, Methodist, Episcopalian, etc), and why do you go to a church of that specific denomination?

I also want to ask: Do you believe that the denomination of your church is better than the other denominations of other churches? If so, how?

    Thank you for answering!

  • So, I have been assigned to make a kiosk, but I need help with the dowels...?

I want to hang a sign over the kiosk that will essentially say that it's the place we are selling our goods. I figured the best way to have a sign would be with dowels.

However, I have a few questions on proper dowel placement:

    1) How do I get the dowels attached to the counter so the sign will remain sturdy?

    2) How do I attach the sign at the top of the dowels and make sure that it stays up there?

    Thank you very much!

  • People, animals, and life itself are enough proof?

    for the existence of Zeus.

Clearly, that is all that is needed to prove that Zeus, who beat his family and took control of the universe, told Prometheus and Epimetheus to make man and animals.

There's no other explanation for it. Clearly, all I need to do is believe, and then it is automatically right.

How would you respond to that?

  • To the Christian Community: If God doesn't interfere with free will, why do people pray to?

learn exactly where they are going to go and lead them to the proper path of life?

I've seen many Christians pray for help, pray for healing, pray for knowledge as to how they are supposed to lead their lives, have God lead their lives, and have God point them through life.

However, if free will is absolutely true, and if the idea of Free Will is that God doesn't interfere in people's lives in order to give them absolute choice, wouldn't such forms of prayer be useless? I mean, if God isn't going to interfere and if he gives mankind absolute choice, why do people pray for him to interfere and expect results?

To add, why would people pray for me to believe if free will exists? Why would praying for me to believe work, if "God" left belief up to the individual?

This isn't a troll question. I sincerely want to know.

  • To the Christian Community: What would happen if I were to openly challenge God?

And, I mean a really open challenge.

I have been toying with the issue for quite a while, and I figured I would test the pool by examining everyones hypothesis and maybe doing this in the future.

If I were to literally challenge God to kill me within some specific timeframe by some cause (let's say heart failure,) what do you think would happen? What would you expect to happen to me on that exact day, on that exact time span, challenging God? What would you think if, by some chance, nothing happened to me? Would making a challenge on this scale be a reasonable balance of "proof" for whatever side was correct?

The reason I ask is because I see a lot of individuals talking about how individuals who died had no right to "test God," like the Pentacostal man who died when handling a poisonous snake.

So, what would happen if I were to test God in that same sense?

  • A serious story to those who have faith...?

When I was around the age of 14/15, I was having a terrible life. I wasn't to the point of suicide, but I did want to escape from being me and find something better.

    Now, what was my answer?

    Transformation.

That's right. No joke. Dead serious.

At that point, I believed that transformation was possible. I wasn't sure how, but I thought it could be done. Sometimes I even felt, when I made my hand into a fist, that I might be able to transform it into a hoof or paw if I really concentrated. However, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't.

One day, I found a website that reinforced such a concept. It was a website that promised people that they could obtain various magical powers for about $300. However, if you paid more, your abilities would be more potent, and you would be able to do much more than you could imagine.

To me, at that time, that blew my mind. The thought of such a promise was amazing, and I honestly felt as though the hope alone of one day having those superpowers would comfort me through my life. Unfortunately, there was no way for me to purchase the powers at the time, so I had to simply wait and hope to get them when I was older.

About a month later, the site was shut down. The web was streaming negative reviews of how people were ripped off, and how their belief in these superpowers was nothing more than a lie reinforced by flashy claims and a few cheap promises that couldn't be proven.

So, here are some questions I would like those of you reading to consider...

Did having such faith or belief in the superpowers make them any more or any less real than they were? Does faith play a part in how real something is? Was the reason that I couldn't obtain superpowers due to a lack of faith, or an inability to concentrate?

Or was it all simply nothing more than me wanting to believe there was something more, having that idea reinforced, and then accepting it as true rather than actually looking around for the actual answers?

  • To the Christian Community: Why doesn't God heal amputees?

I see people talking about "please pray for this" or "Thank God for healing this person," but what about individuals who have lost an arm or a leg?

There have been no truthful or valid instances of an arm or a leg being healed or growing back, no matter what religion the person is or how hard the person prays.

So, why won't God heal amputees?

  • To the Christian Community: Why did God try to kill Moses?

    Exodus 4:24-26 KJV

24And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him.

25Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.

26So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.

Why didn't God tell Moses that he needed to be circumcised in a nicer way, or maybe just tell him about the covenant and tell him? Why did he have to go and try to kill him for something (especially since He doesn't tell Moses about the covenant with Abraham, or about circumcisions at all)?

Granted, he does state that Moses was an ancestor to Abraham in Exodus 3, but Moses was raised by The Pharaoh's daughter, so chances are he never learned of this whole "God" thing, especially since the Egyptians enslaved the Israelites and probably didn't share or pass on their beliefs. To add, they still didn't talk about the past covenants, but focus on the whole getting the Hebrews out of Egypt thing.

So why does God try to kill Moses for something they never talked about?

    PS I'm an atheist.

  • To Christians: If "God" judges based upon if one believes or not...?

Does that mean that his system of punishment gives the exact same punishment to people or eternal torture, no matter the number of their sins?

Does this also mean that one who believes and "repents" for all their bad deeds goes unpunished for their horrible deeds because they believe?

I mean, to believe in the sacrifice and to repent for your deeds is typically what is considered to be the only necessary thing to go to heaven. As long as you accept the sacrifice of Jesus, you go to heaven.

So bad people who repent can go to heaven but good people who don't believe are cast into torture forever?

There doesn't seem to be a just border between heaven or hell. Christians keep saying "If you believe in God, you'll go to heaven. If not, you'll go to hell."

However, there doesn't really seem to be middle ground for good people who were non-believers or bad people who were believers.

Why is it that a "just God" punishes unjustly by punishing those based on belief rather than on deeds? Why is it that good people can still go to hell for minor "sins" while bad people who repent remain unpunished for their wicked deeds?

  • To the Christian Community: How does Jesus feel about homosexuality?

Now, I'm not concerned with the rest of the Bible, and I'm not asking this question to belittle those who don't approve of homosexuals.

What does "Jesus" tell you about homosexuality? Does "he" think it is acceptable for people to be homosexuals, or does he think it is abominable? How does that persuade you to think about homosexuality?

However you feel that you could answer for Jesus best, considering your "close, personal relationship" with him (pray, feel it in your heart, etc.) would be the preferred method to answering this question.

    Thank you.

  • To the Christian Community: What happened with Lot and his daughters?

Why is it that the daughters weren't punished for raping their father? In Genesis 19 when it happens, all that occurs after they have sex is that the daughters have a child. Why is it that the Bible doesn't declare a punishment for them?

And, for those of you who declare that this form of "incest" was not specifically stated to be evil in that manner,

Why is it that God declares that sexual relations between one's daughter in law is restricted, but Lot and his daughters could do it just fine?
