As Yvonne stated in a previous comment. The world today is filled with trouble, just as the Bible foretold at 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
There is no doubt about it. The end of Satan’s system is close at hand. Those who ignore the evidence that we are living in the last days will be caught off guard when the end comes. (Matthew 24:37-39; 1 Thessalonians 5:2) Therefore, Jesus said to his listeners: “Pay attention to yourselves that your hearts never become weighed down with overeating and heavy drinking and anxieties of life, and suddenly that day be instantly upon you as a snare. For it will come in upon all those dwelling upon the face of all the earth. Keep awake, then, all the time making supplication that you may succeed in escaping all these things that are destined to occur, and in standing before the Son of man.”—Luke 21:34-36. If you'd have asked this question a couple of years before the outbreak of World Wars One and Two most people would probably have said they were good times, so I say its not the times are living in we should be thinking about, its the future.

The World Is Not Falling Apart
Never mind the headlines. We’ve never lived in such peaceful times.
By Steven Pinker and Andrew Mack
As troubling as the recent headlines have been, these lamentations need a second look. It’s hard to believe we are in greater danger today than we were during the two world wars, or during other perils such as the periodic nuclear confrontations during the Cold War, the numerous conflicts in Africa and Asia that each claimed millions of lives, or the eight-year war between Iran and Iraq that threatened to choke the flow of oil through the Persian Gulf and cripple the world’s economy.
How can we get a less hyperbolic assessment of the state of the world? Certainly not from daily journalism. News is about things that happen, not things that don’t happen. We never see a reporter saying to the camera, “Here we are, live from a country where a war has not broken out”—or a city that has not been bombed, or a school that has not been shot up. As long as violence has not vanished from the world, there will always be enough incidents to fill the evening news. And since the human mind estimates probability by the ease with which it can recall examples, newsreaders will always perceive that they live in dangerous times. All the more so when billions of smartphones turn a fifth of the world’s population into crime reporters and war correspondents.
We also have to avoid being fooled by randomness. Cohen laments the “annexations, beheadings, [and] pestilence” of the past year, but surely this collection of calamities is a mere coincidence. Entropy, pathogens, and human folly are a backdrop to life, and it is statistically certain that the lurking disasters will not space themselves evenly in time but will frequently overlap. To read significance into these clusters is to succumb to primitive thinking, a world of evil eyes and cosmic conspiracies.
Finally, we need to be mindful of orders of magnitude. Some categories of violence, like rampage shootings and terrorist attacks, are riveting dramas but (outside war zones) kill relatively small numbers of people. Every day ordinary homicides claim one and a half times as many Americans as the number who died in the Sandy Hook massacre. And as the political scientist John Mueller points out, in most years bee stings, deer collisions, ignition of nightwear, and other mundane accidents kill more Americans than terrorist attacks.
The only sound way to appraise the state of the world is to count. How many violent acts has the world seen compared with the number of opportunities? And is that number going up or down? As Bill Clinton likes to say, “Follow the trend lines, not the headlines.” We will see that the trend lines are more encouraging than a news junkie would guess.

As Alex writes, statistics show that, actually, things are going much better with time. There hasn't been as little crimes or wars as now. I once read how many murders were committed in a small European town of the middle-age and it was incredibly high!
But then, why is it that we feel the present times are bad? Well, the word out there is: "Good news is no news!" Do you see the small ads on the side of this page? You will find them on all online news. Each time you click on a link, the publisher increases his counter and can get more for the advertising. In other words: click is money!
And to make you click, titles are extremely speculative and we are left with the feeling that everything goes for the worst.
The truth is that we like scary movies. Why is that? Well, as our ancestors started cooking food, thus having more time and energy to develop our brain's frontal lobe, we started "simulating the future" thinking, what if this and what if that?
The best surviver then was the one who could prepare for the worst and yet bet on the best. And that it why we have a taste for scary stuff and why "good news is no news" and why we are left with a feeling that "the end is near."

Truth is We are actually living in the most Peacefully of times. There are only 6 Countries affected by today's problems . But They get 99% of the attention. This leads everyone to think these times are terrible . But that's been proven to be wrong.

So much different then when I was growing up. We didn't have the breakdowns of government we see today.
People were a hole lot friendlier and we didn't have as many rip offs as today. Money is too over rated today and people would have some scruples when acquiring it then. I mean it wasn't paradise but today we see corruption in areas that were once taboo, like stealing school funds. I could go on but the #1 thing about today that really bothers me, is the abundance of hate and lack of compromises.

All who call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ or sign themselves with sign of the cross during WW3 will be saved. War in Ukraine will last two years (2014 - 2016). Then WW3 will start. Then Tsar will come to power in Russia to protect people from the antichrist. Antichrist will allow all sin. Don't sin. God is merciful but 666 is not forgivable. 666 is given with grey plastic card. Food stores, prisoners, and police will 666 people too. Don't get new documents. Don't get any surgeries. Don't eat meat. Don't eat fast food. Don't eat junk food. Pray the Jesus prayer. Don't go into UFO to be healed by evil demons. Feed the pigeons. Give to charity in the name of Archangel Michael. Reject vaccines. Hide with Orthodox Christians to escape mark of the beast.

These are times of so many new distractions so many opinions of old brushed aside . driving is a hazard because courtesy between others is gone .This courtesy is lost in all aspects of our lives. Much is given to grab all you can at the cheapert price not only in money but in respect or care . But its still repairable and those who wish to all will be cured in time

We are at the beginning of what could be the worst times, as it was before WWII. The USA has lost all respect in the world, and it is just a matter of time until we feel this in a very bad way. It will effect the economies of the USA and Canada. Even now it is effecting Canada in a big way due to the price of oil and the fall of the Canadian dollar. I see trouble because many people just do not get what is going on, and probably never will.
