Do windows 7 internet options only apply to Internet explorer?

Do the internet options under Control Panel > Network and Internet only apply to Internet Explorer?

Update:

I ask because it seems everything listed has to do with internet explorer.

    For the most part yes.

    Firefox has it's own settings.

    Chrome will use systems settings for using a proxy server.

    the Proxy Server settings are in I.E. Options > Connections >
