how many miles are on my car?

I have a 2002 carbureted mustang with no computer. How can I tell how many miles are on this 1992 5.0 engine

    If there is not an odometer to read, but it should have a computer, and an OBD-II connection (so you can connect a scan tool) OBD-II was mandated in 1996.

    Simple answer - you can't. The only means of recording mileage is gone.

    Why in the world did somebody replace the fuel injection system with a stone age carburetor? The reduction in maximum power and fuel economy must be awful.

    Look at the odometer.
