Training in dallas for southwest employees?

I m working through the process of being hired and I know that once hired, you must spend 8 days in dallas for training. What s it like? Do they put you up in a hotel? Do you get free time or is everything organized for you in an itinerary? Also, how do you get around? Are you provided with a rental car?

Basically you are provided with dorm housing at a complex near the training facility. Transportation is provided and you'll be training most of the time and studying the rest. It also depends on what you are training for. Flight attendants is the toughest. You'll have several pass fail exams, almost every day which means if you fail, you are out. If you pass, you continue training.

Trust me, your accommodations should be the least of your worries. Study as much information as you can about the field your training in.

NO IT IS NOT A VACATION.

No you do not get a FREE rental car.

NO you do not have time to sight see and party.

You are attending training. You STUDY in your time off.

    You will need your sleep.

They do provide a place to sleep. NO IT IS NOT a FIVE STAR Hotel.

If you want to go out on your own after classes you use these things called taxis or take the bus. You will not have much time to party.

You are at work. Even though you are in training. I suppose all of your past employers have offered you a free car? Should mention: don't drink or smoke anything.
