Land worth 1m will be divided among 3 brothers and 4 sisters, sister's share is half her brother's then what is share of their property?

    x=brother

    y=sister

    x=2y

    3x+4y = 1m

    3(2y) + 4y = 1m

    10y = 1m

    y=100,000

    Thus, x=200,000

    Two sisters make one brother (in terms of shares)

    so, the four sisters are equivalent to two brothers.

    Thus, there are five brother shares

    that means a brother share is 20% (1/5)

    so three 20% shares (3/5)

    and four sister shares (each 10% or 1/10)
